Choices

Here's another poem...wrote it today.

“Choices – A Psalm”

You have given me a new day, but I must choose to face it or waste it.
You have set before me a new path, but I must choose to walk forward or shrink back.
You have given me a new purpose, but I must choose to seek your face or seek the world.
You have given me a new mission, but I must choose to be good and faithful or wicked and lazy.
You have given me renewed vision, but I must choose to fix my eyes on Jesus or fall into a pit with the rest of the blind.

You have given me heaven to set my sight upon, filled my lungs with the breath of life, and lit my path with your everlasting word. But I must choose to stay on the path marked out for me and run to win the prize.
You have adopted me into your family, but I must choose to love my brothers and sisters.
You have said you will be with me always, but I must choose to always be with you.
You have given me so much, but I must choose to give back.

You have given me my heart, but I must choose to love.

You have given me my mind, but I must choose to think.

You have given me my strength, but I must choose to fight.

You have given me your promises, but I must choose to believe.

You have given me my life, but I must choose to live.
